Stages

Threads for a specific purpose (i.e. proposals) will often have a Stage associated with them. After a thread is created, the author of the thread can set what stage to set by clicking on the arrow to the far right of the thread.

Clicking 'Edit Stage' will pop-up a menu for associating voting proposals with the thread and specifying a stage.
